We recently held a First Aid and Emergency Response Training, equipping community members with life-saving knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively during emergencies. Sponsored by Global Changemakers.
We organized this training because many of the communities we work with face frequent incidents—from household accidents to fire outbreaks—yet very few people know what to do in those critical first minutes before help arrives. Strengthening first response capacity at the community level is essential for reducing preventable injuries, saving lives, and building a culture of preparedness.

This training was conducted in collaboration with the Kenya Red Cross, whose expertise ensured participants received accurate, practical, and high-quality guidance. We are deeply grateful to Global Changemakers for sponsoring the event and making this learning opportunity possible for our community.
Participants learned how to handle injuries, perform CPR, manage burns, and provide immediate care while awaiting professional support. Beyond the skills, the experience deepened our collective commitment to community safety and resilience.
A big thank you to our dedicated trainers, the Kenya Red Cross team, Global Changemakers, and the amazing participants who showed enthusiasm, teamwork, and a true desire to protect their communities.
Together, we’re empowering communities to stay ready, stay calm, and save lives.
