Empowering residents in informal settlements with essential first aid skills enables them to respond effectively in emergencies while awaiting professional medical support. In many of these communities, limited infrastructure, such as narrow pathways and poor road access often delays emergency response. This challenge is especially critical during frequent crises like fires, which are commonly caused by unsafe cooking methods and exposed electrical wiring. By equipping community members with practical first aid knowledge, we strengthen their capacity to act quickly, save lives, and reduce the severity of injuries in high-risk situations.
